Terrorist Takedown 2 US Navy Seals is one of three games that make up the launch package of CITY INTERACTIVE, a polish development and publishing company that have just launched in the UK and will be launching soon in the United States. (They have previously been successful in 40 other countries)

Terrorist Takedown 2 is a first person shooter set in the present day in the Middle East. You are a member of a special stabilization force sent to bring an end to the years and years of bloodshed in the un-named war torn Middle Eastern Country. It is up to you to bring to an end the constant days of terror caused by suicide bombings.

At the start of each of the seven single player missions you are given an object and a set of weapons, these can be added to as the game progresses as every time you kill someone you get the option to pick up their weapon. The weapons featured in the game included modern devices such as the AKSU-74 assault rifles, the Calico M950 machine pistol etc.  The most interesting missions usually include times when you have to distinguish between a terrorist and a civilian – remember you can only kill the bad guys!!!

Once you have completed the single player missions there is also a multiplayer mode for you to tackle. Here you play as one of several different national special operations units, each nation having its own detailed weapons for you to use. The game comes complete with Gamespy Comrade which you can install to help you find someone to play the multiplayer option with.

Graphically the game is varied and interesting. There are a number of different types of locations used from crowded bazaars, to military bases and underground caverns. The graphics are detailed and the environment is fully interactive, leaving things for you to destroy or use against the enemy or push to one side if not needed. The same character model is used on various occasions for the civilians and terrorists although to be honest on quite a few occasions you are too busy killing them to realise that you already have a little while before.

Control wise it is a very easy game to pick up and play and has been designed for you to do just that. The keys used are very natural and the mouse controls are a joy as well.

Sound wise the game has decent effects but the music is some that you will tire of eventually and the dialogue used is very warring at times.

Although this is a very modern feeling game due to the setting and the graphics, it has to be said that you come away from it thinking it dosent really offer anything that original or new. It is lengthy even though there are only 7 single player missions and at time it can provide quite a challenge but in the aftermath of games such as Call of Duty 4 and CRYSIS it is a bit of a disappointment and for me the weakest of the three games making up the initial releases from this software house.

Having said that if you are a big FPS fan and you are looking for to play on your PC then you could do far worse than this.
